I used to think I was stubborn. A lot of my friends and family have also in the past said I was stubborn maybe that’s why I thought that myself. But later I realised I was mistaken, I’m just really determined. Determined, stubborn, just different words for the same thing you might think. On the surface or in a thesaurus maybe, but for me there is a distinct difference. If you are determined you have a target, you want to get there, no matter what. Being stubborn you don’t want to budge, or change, you want to stay where you are, no matter what.
Sometimes refusing to compromise makes me look stubborn, especially when I refuse to compromise on my principles. Again the difference is the focus on the goal/target or result you want to acheive, compromising on your principles all to often results in moving backwards, away from your goals.
