We had a party for our friend Megumu who is off to Canada on St. Patrick’s Day where it will be -8C at night and snowing according to www.weather.co.uk She’ll be there for a year, and don’t worry we’ve already warned her about the mooses.
It was a great night, we (Shuichi, Keiji, Yasuko, David, Hideki, Rie, Myself, Master Nakamori-san and of course Megumu) had a lot of fun. Yasuko did her rendition of Happy Birthday again even though it was a farewell party. I took my video camera with me, and recorded the 25 minute long speech that Megumu gave when we asked her if she was going to miss us.
Our friends also gave Michelle a pair of very cute O-Hina Sama and O-Dairi Sama Catsfor her first Hina Matsuri. Thank-you very much. (BTW I wish to have it on public record that Rie forgot to put away the cats until a few days after the Hina Matsuri, if Michelle can’t get married we know who to blame ^O^ )
Best of luck Megumu, we’ll all miss you. Keep in touch and we will be reading your blog regularly.

A lovely time was had by all! I can`t wait to hear another rendition of Happy Birthday by Yasuko – maybe a reggae version next time? I can play the triangle!
