FSFJ

Anyone want to hear about my new project called FSFJ? I even have a domain registered for it. It is one of those crazy ideas that might work or might fall flat on its face.

I’ll give you a clue, the J of FSFJ stands for Japan. Another clue, it isn’t a “for profit” project. I’ll reveal all if the comment counter hits 10 or if someone guesses what the domain is :)

    FSFJ ..
or .. Could it all be just a prank?
but if it is a not “for profit” then i believe you may be trying to make a site to raise awareness of japan or something along those lines. FSFJ also a site itselft for footie in japan..

I haven’t a clue! But I’m leaving a comment to get the post count up! :P

    I give up.

  7. Alisa Sanada 7 May 2005 at 8:58 pm Permalink

does it have something to do with football?

  8. Ian Cheung 7 May 2005 at 10:29 pm Permalink

    Michael,
nothing to do with football but it does have something to do with raising awareness of Japan.

    Rob,
Are there that many Far Side Fans in Japan? Giving up so soon? Or is it a clever ploy to bump up the comment count?

    Alisa,
nope, nothing to do with football. But I will have a football (Liverpool FC) section here sometime. Bet you can’t wait :)

    Stephen,
hahaha classic. You got 3 out of the 4 words right though, so close

Free Sap from Japan. Raising awareness of the atrocity of poor Bob Sap being held as a media slave by the Japanese and driven to make a fool of himself on TV with only a petty few million dollars a year for payment.

Good on you Ian! Its about time people started speaking up for innocent victims like Bob. The suffering and the underprivileged have a voice in you!

Ian, you want to tell us, that’s why you comment on our comments, to bump up the count, well I think you should take out your comments (2), and multiple comments from the same person. Therefore this comment from me will not be counted. The real count is still only 5. We’ll get there soon though, only another 5 people needed.
    I can’t wait.

    Hi Rob,
You have a point about the inflated comment count but the only reason I am replying to comments is to give feedback. Unfortunately there is no easy way to keep score of unique comments/commenters. Anyway it’s just a bit of fun so if there are five more guesses then great. I’m in no particular rush to reveal all.

Right off to bed, now if only I could get Rie to set the alarm. ;)

    Free Search for Japan

  13. wh 12 May 2005 at 2:41 pm Permalink

    FSFJ eh?

    Hmmmmmmm…………..

Maybe it stands for Free Speech For Japan and is a part of your site dedicated to freeing Japanese people from the subversive political oppression that goes largerly unreported in most mainstream news but is recognized by the gaijin who lived or lived in Japan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If that’s what it is then Ian all I have to say is be careful because THEY monitor the internet as well!!!!!!!!!

    (cue the X-Files theme)

    Free Shashin From Japan.

    Rob, wh,
Ah you see, if you read my response to Stephen’s guess I said he had 3 out of the 4 words right. So by the application of logic ala Mastermind your guesses can’t be right as you have two words different from Stephen’s guess. Do you remember Mastermind? (maybe I am showing my age :D )

    Dymas,
Not Free Shashin From Japan but good guess.

I’ve been asked to give another clue so here it is, the project probably won’t interest people currently living in Japan, unlike my other project p______m______.jp :D

yeah that was a typo actually Ian, but there is not edit facility for the comments, I was gonna back space and do it again, but that would, you know, post it twice.
My new guess is Free Stamps Funkinwinkle Japan
for stamp collectors living out of Japan.

    Free Sightseeing From Japan ??

  21. Ian Cheung 20 May 2005 at 5:22 am Permalink

    Michael,
lol you know me too well, but in this case it isn’t free S or source.

    Rie,
An intelligent guess, given I said Michael was right about raising awareness of Japan, but wrong. I think I had an idea like that once (organising free sightseeing guides) but it never went anywhere.

    Rob T,
    >but there is not edit facility
    double typos? :P
but I would love to hear about your new sites. Xuan (in Shanghai) would too.
BTW are you getting my emails?
