back-log
I have a huge amount of photos that I have to edit and upload.
Photos of the house warming party, photos of Ireland, photos of my classmates, photos of Tetsu our gecko, a couple more photos taken in Hong Kong, photos of my ex-students at Koshien, photos of our friend’s baby. I guess I better get them done soon before I take more photos. One of the side-effects of using a DSLR (mine is a Canon EOS-10D) is that there is a certain amount of editing that _has_ to be done before they are presentable or printable which is unlike using a point and shoot type.
This year I didn’t have any friends that had the seijinnohi (Coming of Age Day) ceremony so I didn’t go and take any photos. I went to my friend Eriko’s ceremony last year to take photos and when I checked my logs I realised that I was getting a lot of visits via google from people searching for seijinnohi photos. In fact if you type that into google.com you get my photo gallery as only one of two pages on the Internet. Interesting.
One of the main reasons for the delay in uploading is that I am in the middle of a re-design of this site (and a few others). This design has been the same since the blog started so it is about 18 months old. It serves its purpose reasonably well, being accessible from any browser on any type of computer but I think I can improve the look and still keep the accessibility high. I also want to structure the site slightly differently. Hopefully the re-design and the majority of the back-log of photos will be online before next month.
