In IA (Information Architecture) one of the first things we do is to define the goals of a site. So what are the goals for this site?

The main goal is to give something back to the web. I’ve lost count of the times that I’ve received help or advice from web sites, forums or blogs. The web is about caring and sharing. I believe that the best way to repay this is in kind. So if there are people out there who find this site informative, interesting, useful or all three then it will be a success.

There are other goals, including being a place where my friends can keep in touch with what’s happening in my life, to showcasing Information Architecture as a design process. Hopefully this site can succeed in these goals too.
