A lot of things…
have happened since my last entry. In rough chronological order…
- My laptop came back, I have to applaud the service from IBM. Totally excellent.
- Chinese New Year and my birthday
- St. Patrick’s Day
- Started taking Japanese lessons
- I met Rie and Masami
- I bought a new camera the Canon EOS-10D
- The SARS outbreak in Hong Kong, China and Canada
- My good friends, Winnie and Marcus, got married (but I couldn’t attend…)
- Winter ending, Spring arriving, along with the Cherry blossoms
- and a few million other minor things…
Some things that haven’t happened:
- The book section to this site
- Redesigning the site
- Setting up the router and server
- Any major improvement in my Japanese ability
- Clearing the backlog of photos to be edited and uploaded
- Updating some the links
I should really get my act together with regard to the above list…
Although the Sakura season was “sugoi kirei” and Winnie & Marcus’s wedding a really happy event, the most significant event for me from the above list was to have met Masami and Rie. They are two very special friends. ( ^ ____ ^ )
Masami is also one of my Japanese teachers and I really enjoy her lessons. I am sure I am a very frustrating student but I am trying. At the moment my main goal is to improve my fluency and to improve my communicative ability. I might start doing part of these blog entries in Japanese for practice.
It is Golden Week here in Japan, some people get a whole week off, most get at least three days off 29th April, 3rd May and 5th May. But not me, I have to work on National Holidays. The only upside is that my friends are free. Misoon will soon visit from Tokyo. I am really excited to see her again soon.
